In the Spring of 2019, I completed my MFA in Animation at SCAD Atlanta. Over the course of three years, I developed my film, The Red Grove, alongside a 130+ page production book, exploring the genre of Magical Realism and its relationship with animation.

The film, while complete in the eyes of my committee, is still a work-in-progress in mine. Much like the narrative of the film, time has a funny way of moving on (especially the last three years).

While there is more to be done, I am infinitely proud of how far my team and I have come. Please enjoy our work so far.

Process Book

If you're interested, here's a link to the written component of my thesis. Inside, you'll find a 130+ page book talking about psychology, Magical Realism, and my thought process on every decision made during the film making process.

Also, there's a lot of pretty pictures.

Here are some sample spreads from the book.
